Job Description:

We are looking for an Accountant to handle and manage financial documentation and records, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Managing and maintaining all financial documents and records, ensuring their validity.
  2. Recording accounting entries, verifying their accuracy, and uploading them into the accounting system.
  3. Daily reconciliation of branch cash balances and point-of-sale (POS) records with system data.
  4. Periodic bank reconciliations, and conducting necessary adjustments after management approval.
  5. Preparing account statements for customers and suppliers, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
  6. Monitoring collections, paying bills, and regularly reporting on customer and supplier balances.
  7. Auditing payrolls, reviewing entitlements and deductions, and submitting them for approval.
  8. Preparing financial reports, analysis, and contributing to budget and final accounts preparation.
  9. Assisting in preparing annual budgets based on company plans.
  10. Documenting budget variances and explaining how figures and results were calculated.
  11. Proposing financial policy improvements and long-term and short-term financial plans to management.
  12. Contributing to the development of sub-plans for the financial department to ensure profitability and growth.
  13. Attending management meetings and providing insights on decisions and results.
  14. Reviewing contracts and other financial obligations before signing to identify their financial impact.
  15. Ensuring the accuracy of reports extracted from the system.
  16. Coordinating with internal and external auditors, providing them with necessary financial information.
  17. Preparing Zakat and tax returns and collaborating with certified accountants.
  18. Overseeing inventory checks (weekly, monthly, yearly), ensuring alignment with account records.
  19. Calculating product costs, maintaining and updating cost files regularly.

Skills Required:

  • Previous experience in accounting for companies.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English, both spoken and written.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions.
  • Analytical thinking with strong focus on categorization and organization of costs.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Access, and other analytical software.

Preferred Candidate:

  • Experience: 7 years
