Job Description:
We are looking for an Accountant to handle and manage financial documentation and records, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and maintaining all financial documents and records, ensuring their validity.
- Recording accounting entries, verifying their accuracy, and uploading them into the accounting system.
- Daily reconciliation of branch cash balances and point-of-sale (POS) records with system data.
- Periodic bank reconciliations, and conducting necessary adjustments after management approval.
- Preparing account statements for customers and suppliers, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
- Monitoring collections, paying bills, and regularly reporting on customer and supplier balances.
- Auditing payrolls, reviewing entitlements and deductions, and submitting them for approval.
- Preparing financial reports, analysis, and contributing to budget and final accounts preparation.
- Assisting in preparing annual budgets based on company plans.
- Documenting budget variances and explaining how figures and results were calculated.
- Proposing financial policy improvements and long-term and short-term financial plans to management.
- Contributing to the development of sub-plans for the financial department to ensure profitability and growth.
- Attending management meetings and providing insights on decisions and results.
- Reviewing contracts and other financial obligations before signing to identify their financial impact.
- Ensuring the accuracy of reports extracted from the system.
- Coordinating with internal and external auditors, providing them with necessary financial information.
- Preparing Zakat and tax returns and collaborating with certified accountants.
- Overseeing inventory checks (weekly, monthly, yearly), ensuring alignment with account records.
- Calculating product costs, maintaining and updating cost files regularly.
Skills Required:
- Previous experience in accounting for companies.
- Fluency in Arabic and English, both spoken and written.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions.
- Analytical thinking with strong focus on categorization and organization of costs.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Access, and other analytical software.
